Great build-up -- this is going to be some showdown!

I love how Spike reawakens the Slayer in her. Buffy almost seems like a different person in this chapter. Oh, and did I mention before that I love the red hair? I don't know why, but I like the idea of a Buffy with red hair. Maybe because the blonde seems so much a part of the cheerleader, "horror movie victim turned on its head" persona that it doesn't fit this hardened, desperate version of Buffy.

SO they didn't find each other, so wonder what will happen now.

That was incredibly powerful. Her girding for the battle with him, him wound up with fire and energy. All so beautifully written and massively evocative.
Loved it.
