Glad to be back to this fine story.
Spike has been not killing!  Buffy is so hopeful for the future.

Fucking brilliant. I don't know how else to describe it. You're extremely talented. This reads like a book. I read prequels before this and didn't take the time to review, I'm basically putting it all into one because I simply couldn't take the time to write a review when I could read more of this delicious story. It's a joy to read, every word is well chosen and the way it pulls at my heart just makes me cry and kick my feet at the same time.

I absolutely love it and I was so relieved to see that, though unfinished, it is still being written and I absolutely can't wait to sink myself into more of it.

Great job and thanks for taking the time to entertain me!

Hey, thanks! I can't tell you how much this review means. I don't believe I've ever been called "fucking brilliant" before - and it may be a while until I hear it again - but it's quite high praise, I think. ;)

Glad you enjoyed.

This is my first ever review - I can't decide if I want this to end happily now, or end happily eventually after more twists, but I look everyday for updates. How sad is that? Love the story
Thanks, Tilly! I'm so glad you left a review. It means a lot. And I routinely sit around hitting refresh and waiting for updates, too ... so I know *exactly* how you feel.

Best,
Vee

Oh, yay! That was a lot more hopeful, at least for the immediate future.

And you were never properly afraid of me.

Loved that line. It sums them both up so perfectly. I also enjoyed all the back-and-forth dialogue between them. Once again, things seem to be looking up. Let's see where they're at next chapter!

Still much loving this story!

Ah, so Spike is the owner of the home that he has now redone for Buffy.. along with blood on tap at the local demon bar.

And even the idea of a soul. Harris all insightful. Powerful chapter. But now who is the other?

Still afraid of the ending..

But Possibilities..for a while.

Enjoyed.

Ah - a faint hope springs into my aching heart...LOL Okay, that sucked. But you get my drift. Things may be looking up? *crosses fingers*

Meant to add....love the chapter title...My Way indeed, just his way for the right reasons, proud and decisive.

Oh yes indeed. Love this development. He's changing and NOT just for her. Love Xander's dose of reality that Buffy could outlive Spike. Really love how they both acknowledge the improbability of making a go and yet forging ahead anyway. Yup, they can go the distance.
