Oh wow, that was a completely heart-wrenching chapter. I almost wish someone would just sit Spike down and give him a bit of background...maybe Xander will. And Buffy, running off to Malta without even telling him...stupid girl. Great work!

Another cracking chapter - I'm scared to hope Xander will try to be fair but it is a possibility. He's had plenty of time to stop blaming Spike for being back instead of Anya.

Miz Herself, is there a possibility that Xander can provide that link for Spike/William? I think it's so very intense that he loves her, knows that in his heart of hearts and doesn't have a clue about the pain, but knows that as well. What a grotesque purgatory he resides in, all alone, even when he's "shagged" into good humor. Buffy, is twice pitiful, watching her is one of the hardest things I can imagine. Appreciate the notices that the next chapter is happening--wish I could stop reading til they are whole or gone--but I can't. The dance they evoke is too compelling, so knock you down and find a frilling answer, please Goddess, that I log on feeling a great deal like Spike, need your story, Miz Herself--want it and want to turn away as well. Means it's good, doesn't it, cos surely I'm not that perverse.

What an ending. Talking to Harris, can never be good... Poor Buffy. But then on the other hand, if she had told him before... I hope you update soon I´m really enjoying your story....

Ok, so not really feeling much better! Spike starts to dust himself but can't without letting Buffy know he did. Like somehow knowing is going to make her feel better than not knowing? Now Xander wants to tell Spike who he is. That is so many kinds of bad I don't think I could list them all. The best I can hope for is that maybe something will jog Spike's memory but I'm feeling very disheartened by it all.

By the time Spike burned away in Chosen they must have some to some better place about their destructo relationship. She must certainly know that someone will eventually tell Spike, and give a very limited account, of his life in Sunnydale.

Spike could also have Willow to help restore him via magic and what would be so terrible about that? This would only put them back to the time when Spike returned and they could talk honestly about their lives and choices.

Oh Xander, have a heart, as much we all want the truth to surface, there are ways and there are ways! Then again, maybe its best he hears the worst possible version of his past - then the truth, his truth, his memory, when it comes (and I am hoping it does) won't be so damn hard.

Wrong person Spike.. this Xander so full of hate will enjoy turning the knife and make him feel less of a man.. twisting what ever happen that was good into something evil. Revenge.
