What would happen if the First had the Bringers capture Buffy instead of Spike in Never Leave Me? Giles and the SiT’s have shown up a touch earlier. Spike’s trigger no longer exists. Picks up at Never Leave Me and goes AU from there. Warning This is a dark fic. Aludes to torture and non-con, but no description or graphic material is contained.

Buffy has an epiphany while arguing with Giles over Spike. Will her date with Robin Wood further muddle things between the Slayer and her insecure vampire? Will her words undo the damage already done? Can a bit of honesty change their path?

The tale thus far: There may be slayers in this 'verse, but Buffy isn't one of them. Spike is his fabulous fanged self. They've met twice before, but a lasting relationship hasn't been in the cards.
