They've always been able to bring out the extremes in each other, and even now, with two continents, an ocean, and an apparent death separating them, they still do.

Buffy and Spike find the meaning of love amidst the terror of a monster neither knows how to fight. Canon through BtVS Season Five and elements of the first two or so episodes of Season Six are used, but not completely. Then it's AU to the extreme. For example, Dawn is 16 when my story begins. Pairings: Spike/Buffy; Dawn/Other; Spike & Dawn. And who knows what else might happen. Set post-NFA by several years, Buffy has mourned Spike and moved on. She gets a request from Dawn for some assistance, and decides to pay a visit. She finds more than she expected - and less than she might have wanted. Is the ghost Spike? What will happen to him if he remembers who he is? Buffy and Spike are left wanting each other after the spell in "Something Blue." After some persuasion and help from a friend, they decide to see where these newfound feelings could lead.

I see no man on a pale horse, yet Death rides for us all. It was the apocalypse no one saw coming. Now, longtime enemies must become allies, friends become foes, and death really is waiting around every corner. A tale of death, sacrifice, more death, the human (and not so human) heart, even more death, black humor, and the end of the world as we know it.

A/N: I don’t really care for dark, depressing stories. Dark!fic just isn’t my thing. Too damn bad the muse wouldn’t listen, and despite my endless pleading, he demanded this one be written in response to the “Third Slayer” challenge posted for round nine of Fang Fetish Awards. I will warn you up front that this is not a fluffy, happily-ever-after story. And it takes place in an alternate reality wherein Angelus has never had a soul. Spike never came to Sunnydale, never got caught and chipped by the Initiative, and never fell in love with Buffy. He is still evil and soulless with no intentions towards the side of good.

Post Tabula Rasa. Spike takes his own course of action, trying to become a better man for his slayer.

Takes place during and after 'Older and Far away'. Buffy has treated Spike terribly throughout their relationship. Beatings, and now even a step farther. Can an unexpected gift help her to see what she's done?

Set mid Season 7. Buffy is injured on patrol, but it soon turns out that's not the only ache that needs to be dealt with.

Another what-if scenario. What if Riley had turned up just a bit later in 'As You Were'? My version of how things might have gone in a better Season Six.
