Decades after the battle in Los Angeles and two years after a small army of Slayers destroyed the Dragvlok homeland, Dragvloks are on a mission to destroy the Slayer line. It’s up to a Slayer in California and the self-appointed Saviour of Slayers to stop the bloodshed. Both think they’re on a mission to save the next generation of Slayers, but they may just end up saving each other.

There was no body to bury. There was no funeral. There was nothing but the three rules and the knowledge that a thousand years of torment was nothing compared to a world without her in it. Spike embarks on a journey through the Gates of Hell to rescue the one he loves, but in order to save her, he must risk losing himself.

This follows on from where my fic "Spike’s Will Be Done" left off and is pretty much a sequel to that story, so things will only really make sense if you read it first. For those of you who are wondering why the spelling of colour in the title doesn't agree with standard UK usage like the rest of the story, it's because it refers to the song by Cyndi Lauper, who of course spelled it the American way in her lyrics. Thanks go out to my two betas MadRog and t_geyer, without whom, no one other than me would be reading this. Before they came on board, this was just one chapter running to two hundred plus pages. They helped to sort out a workable structure and are currently giving me the necessary prompting to expand on certain plot lines raised within the story so far.

Buffy and Spike find the meaning of love amidst the terror of a monster neither knows how to fight. Canon through BtVS Season Five and elements of the first two or so episodes of Season Six are used, but not completely. Then it's AU to the extreme. For example, Dawn is 16 when my story begins. Pairings: Spike/Buffy; Dawn/Other; Spike & Dawn. And who knows what else might happen. Set post-NFA by several years, Buffy has mourned Spike and moved on. She gets a request from Dawn for some assistance, and decides to pay a visit. She finds more than she expected - and less than she might have wanted. Is the ghost Spike? What will happen to him if he remembers who he is? Will Buffy be the cause of his finally moving off this plane and onto another? Posted August, 2008

When Drusilla gets out of control, Spike is forced to ask the scoobies for help. Buffy agrees to help stop the vampiress but there are unexpected consequences

The battle in the alley at the end of NFA is only the beginning of the struggle for Spike, the only survivor, but by no means victorious. As he struggles to survive his new life, and eventually escape it, who can he trust to help him escape, and return to the Slayer he still loves?

Set during season 5 after 'Intervention'. What would have happened if Angel had lost his soul after sleeping with Darla in ‘Reprise’? Vengeance in mind, he returns to Sunnydale to pursue the Slayer. Only Spike can save Buffy now. But will he be too late?

Three months after that final battle in "Not Fade Away", Giles and Andrew take a trip to L.A. to do their own investigation on what happened that night. A lucky break leads them to someone they thought was surely lost forever. In the midst of heartache and trials fraught with revenge and the consequences, can true love find its way? Now posting TWO chapters daily. Odd numbered chapter will be the second of those posted.

Ok, here’s the sitch. It’s early in a Season V that has been tweaked to suit my purposes. Spike hasn’t had his little revelation about his feelings for Buffy, and she, of course, is clueless. Riley has had his surgery and begun his macho identity crisis. Joyce and Dawn won’t be mentioned because they aren’t part of this story. Riley has gone back to Iowa for an extended leave, partly to recover from his surgery and partly to figure out what he wants to do next. He was apprehensive about being gone from Buffy for so long, and not at all reassured when she tells him she will take Spike with her for extra muscle if he’s so worried about her. He reminds her of her words to him before he lost the enhancements that were killing him, when she told him that if she “wanted somebody with super powers, I’d be dating Spike!” She rolls her eyes at his implication and they do not part on the best of terms. Many thanks to Oracle Holly for her read overs and suggestions as I struggled with how to get the story going. *hugs* Holly.
