Spike returns to Sunnydale during the events in “Band Candy” and has a similar reaction to the chocolate bars as the other adults in town. Will Buffy come to his aid when his William side emerges and he is at a loss of how to handle the situation, or will she walk away from him to handle the change in both her mother and Giles instead? And what will happen when Spike returns to normal and is faced with Angel?

Spike finds Buffy at the Bronze on New Year’s Eve and helps her put her life into perspective a little, along with discussing what happened between them over the course of the prior days and weeks. After Spike leaves, Buffy has a change of heart and goes to his crypt, wanting to celebrate the best way she can. Set after “Wrecked”.
