Dear John by slaymesoftly Jags 02/10/2012 08:24 pm all weird as it may seem i love when ur stories almost make me cry. :) everybody needs a good cry sometimes. :) those crazy kids... :) Reminds me, I have to decide if/when/how John gets his memories back and then write it... I liked this, I really did. It was cute and resolved so many of the issues that both the series left us with, but I still wanted to strangle Buffy for most of it- even telling Spike she loved him and all that (which was good), she still made it all about her! He was scared of being hurt by her (yet again) so he kept his return under wraps- for once it was about what was potentially best for him (he had damn good reason to belief he would be rejected because of the lack of soul)...and Buffy gets pissy at him for it, because it made her unhappy. I wanted to shake her and yell 'grow the hell up! It's not always about you and your happiness!'. And she 'forgives' him for putting himself first for once- Even in a selfless moment, Buffy can be a spoild brat. But like I said before, I really did like this! lol Hee! I'm glad you liked it - even if you are still pissed off at Buffy. :) alým 03/29/2008 01:00 am all Liked it:) Thanks! llouise39 10/20/2006 01:06 am all A delightful story and it made me smile at a happy ending. thanks Thank you for reading and commenting All4Spike 09/24/2006 04:38 pm all Aaaaah... I can never get enough Schmoopy Spuffy... {sigh} lol Into every life a little schmoop must fall Robyn 09/20/2006 10:08 am all I loved this. You did a fantastic job of clearing up a whole lot of misunderstanding between Buffy and Spike and I loved the honesty she gave him. I also love that his reasoning was because he no longer had a soul and that she let him know that the soul wasn’t what had allowed her to love him. Thanks so much for posting this. Thanks for reading and commenting. I'm glad you liked it. Emily 09/17/2006 03:48 am all And what a beautiful schmoopy end at that! Great story, i just loved it. I rarely read one-shots; I like long and involved plotty stories, but this fic made me glad that I made an exception. Superbly written, and great characterization. :D Oh, thank you. How nice of you to say so. Kimber 09/14/2006 09:46 pm all The schmoopy end, LOL.......loved it, even the schmoopy ending..... Hee! thanks. Lou 09/12/2006 08:59 pm all Deeeelicious! Thank you. Hee! Lovely. Poor boy at the beginning seems to be more dust in the wind than Spike ever was. Loved it. Thanks, BR. Glad you liked it. vladt 09/11/2006 10:01 pm all sweet and tender read, thank you. thanks Awwww! This was great. I really enjoyed the "he doesn't love me anymore// she doesn't love me anymore" drama. Great job. I'm glad you liked it. They had to misunderstand each other for at least a while. RandiGiles 09/11/2006 02:22 pm all AAAaaawwww I love schmoopy endings :) awww...how incredibly sweet that was, and very real and true to the characters...excellent job, pet :) Thanks. I'm glad you thought so. Irina 09/11/2006 10:32 am all Fantastic story! I really enjoyed it! :) Thank you. I'm glad you did. *Does the Schmoopy dance*  I thought that was a cool piece.  Thanks for sharing it!  :) Thanks - glad you liked. Spike should be plan adjacent in the future. Very sweet. Thank you. Lynda 09/11/2006 03:27 am all I have a smile on my face. Thank you. thank you :) awwwwwwwwwwwwww that was very sweet. I loved that. I HATED that on the show she never allowed herself to love him before the soul. The soul was a total cop out. serial killers have souls. I love that you made this post NFA fic happen without him having a soul. hehe poor john. :) Yeah, I'm not really big on the soul's importance. (Sorry Joss!) Thanks for reading and reviewing. That was a good schmoopy end. *nods* ^_^ :) schmoop seemed to be called for | |||
