the last line was a perfect touch...this was sweet, beautiful alternative ending to the episode..love it... :)

Goodnight William is the best the poor man can get.
I know... poor guy. But I like to think that when Buffy called our Spike 'William' she's seeing him as a man instead of the monster.

I really liked this! I agree that this is how it should have ended also. I liked the original episode when she didn't puxh his comfort away, but this would have been very nice to see also. Very good!
