Oh yeah....good Buffy, bad bad Faith! Giles...the jury's still out I think.
I've got the feeling Giles is there at the behest of the Council to do in Faith and is cool to Buffy because of her disappearance. It seems Giles is seeing things in Spike that surprise him and he may well be in Spike's corner when it is all over.
Love arrogant Angel expecting Buffy to fall into his arms filled with adoration! Love that she's not interested and is actually THINKING!

Wonderful chapter! I loved Giles' compassion, which is kind of an odd way to feel considering what he allowed Spike to go through--but apparently there was no other way to maintain Faith's trust...and Giles wasn't terribly thrilled about the whole thing either. I also loved Buffy's response to Spike's "freaking out" episode, allowing him to have control for a change. Enjoyed it thoroughly, as always!
thanx...that's kind of what i was going for with Giles...like a "want to hate him for what he did but can't quite" sort of feeling...if that makes sense...lol...glad you are enjoying it :)

Well its good to know that Giles is not really on Faith's side but my god, poor Spike! Even with not remembering (as it seemed that he didn't when he was talking to Buffy) that phrase threw him into a panic! I just want to gut Faith while she is still alive and let her hold her insides in her hands while she dies.....or make her stay locked for all eternity in a cage with Angel!

Very good on Buffy, responding to Spike's needs even though she doesn't fully understand.

Wow - you have woven this extremely well - I have no clue who is the bad guy now - could Giles be planning a double cross on Faith - or is he really bad. Is angel bad or good. I don't know any more. LOL you keep tying me up in knots on this story! Excellant excallant ficcie!

ACK!! We still don't know for sure who is Faith's secret partner. WTF is wrong with Buffy that she doesn't ask Spike about Angel's story? Did Giles take away Spike's memory of the last night of torture? You are getting more evil.
well, at the moment she's a bit distracted, what with the events of the last half of this chapter...lol...i will take "you are getting more evil" as a compliment ;) lol thanx :)

Okay, you really had me worried there about Giles, and I'm not totally 100% back in his corner now. Poor Spike. That bitch!!! GRRRR I hope you have something really deliciously painful and evil cooking up for her eventual comeuppance and demise. Very cute ending.
