Ahhh! One minute, I think Giles is evil... The next, I am not sure... maybe he has some sort of plan... Then, now, I think he's probably evil, all over again! *shakes head* I'm so confused! *L* Evil... evil... cliffie!

Excellent chapter! You have me completely baffled as to whether Giles is the evil partner or not. He sure is acting suspicious and his zapping of Spike at every step is totally freaking me out. If he isn't bad, than I sure want to hear his justification for leaving SPike all night with crazy Faith! Great story and as always, I can't wait to see what happens next. I have my fingers crossed that Buffy's love of Spike will help him through the events of the night. Thanks!
thanx, so glad you are liking it...the idea is to keep everybody guessing...but we're almost to the end now, just a few more chapters, so the waiting is almost over :)

ACK!! Evil, evil cliffie! WTF is Giles doing? He keeps putting spells on Spike and now I'm even more worried about this ritual affair.

Gahhhh, this fic makes my gut clench horribly and never gives me relief. Brava to Buffy for finally having the courage to admit to herself and Spike how she feels. Maybe before it all goes spectacularly pear-shaped (?assumption, I know!)they'll be okay because they have the confidence in each other. If Giles doesn't get Spike killed first.
