Ah.... i can already see Buffy becoming a whore and fucking Riley.

Again i'm praying to the gods this isn't another fic where whoever fucked with Spike doesn't get away with a stern lecture. God.... i'm kind of getting into this little by little but all my hopes and feelings toward this fic would be crushed if whoever is doing this doesn't die.

OK, you got me with the dark eyes and why would he what to be back in Buffy's life when he had Sam. Couldn't imagine Xander keeping him anywhere, so at least we all know the deal. Poor Spike back under Riley's control, even without the Inititive behind him. Great chapter. Nice way to throw me off.

It must be Riley. I don't care what people say about Xander, he doesnt have enough darkness to do this. To hurt Spike, to dust him, to beat him? Definitely. Even though it was just after the Anya thing, I still dont think he would drag something on like this. Xander may have some issues, but i dont think he has it in him. Riley, on the other hand, has a lot of darkness in him. And about the 'She's forgotten you'. Sounds an awful lot like the conversation Buffy just had with him. But then I think about how Spike thought he could fight this person. Maybe Angel, the only one that wouldn't register from his chip. Of course, Spikes extreme inebriation could have affected this.

In other words: ARGH!

Wait, just remembered that Spike smelled human, so I guess that could rule out Angel unless Spike smelled someone else on Angel. Damn! Damn! Damn! The suspense is killing me...Well done :-)

I'm usually pretty good at solving mysteries before everything is revealed, but you've got me stumped. My first thought was Xander since this takes place right after Spike has sex with Anya. Then I thought it could be Riley since he's always using guns and the guy talks about taking a cheap shot at Spike (the plastic woodgrain stake). But that was before you brought Riley back, which may make it too obvious. Someone else commented that it could even be Giles, which would fit if the guy didn't tell Spike that he saw Buffy today. We only know that Buffy saw Xander, Riley, and Angel that day, so I guess it'll be one of those three. All three of them tend to think of Buffy as belonging to them. So, I guess I really have no clue right now, and I'll have to wait for you next mercifully speedy update!

Oh no! The evil Riley on scene to gum up the works. You write dark and painful very well.

Oh boy have you got me hooked on this one! I absolutely hate Riley and look forward to the major ass kicking he will get in this story. You have the most incredible writing ability and the emotions just leap off the page!! Fantastic and I can't wait for updates.

Oh poor, poor Spike! It HAS to be Riley (oh do I hope he gets his in spades). Ruling out Angel because Spike smelled human. Xander has Dawn so not free to go torment, thus Riley wins the bastard award. Glad Buffy is starting to realize Spike means more than sex to her. Hope she realizes ALL that was done to him (and creepy how you imply torture without spelling it out....my mind is far worse than anything you might write *G*).

Was a bit surprised that Dawn was pleased to see Riley. I never thought she cared one way or another since he mostly ignored her. Wish Buffy would point out to Riley that he could have come in handy helping against Glory instead of just leaving her in a huff and that NOW (!) he wants to help??? Jerk.
