Begins during "Showtime." What happened after Buffy saved Spike? Written for Summer of Spike 2 (Summer 2005)

Without friends, family or a watcher, Buffy slays, strips, and stays emotionally isolated. Until a bleach-blond vampire shows up looking for a fight.

The summer after Season 5 (in my world where Buffy never died) a pheromone heat wave gets the Slayer hot and bothered... for Spike. What's a lovestruck, semi-reformed vampire to do? (Originally published in 2001, epilogues added in 2002. Winner of over 25 awards including "Fic of the Year - 2002" @ The Spiked Awards, "Best Series" & "Best Smut" @ WYA and the Spuffies, "Best Comedy/Fluff" @ LLGA and "Fanfic Classic" @ FLA.)

Sunnydale is gone.  The Scoobies have scattered and Angel is the CEO of Wolfram & Hart.  A lot of things can change in a matter of months. But, Spike isn't as gone as everyone thought.  His spirit has been inhabiting this world, running on borrowed time, from an afterlife he fears.  But why, after all this time, is he suddenly grounded to Wolfram & Hart?  Is it the amulet?  Coincidence?  Or is there something more sinister at work?

What if Buffy realized, after refusing the gift of power, in "Get it Done" that she was turning her back on her duty? can she take it back? And what will she become if she can? Nominated for Best WIP at the Vampire Kisses Awards, and now at the Fang Fetish Awards!
