Season 4, post Something Blue. The gang gives Buffy an amusing gag-gift for Valentine's Day, only it doesn't get used with the person they think it would...

Sequel to “To Wed a Vampire”. Spike and Buffy have wed vampire style, quadrupled their powers, and have new hope in fighting the First. "A New Day" follows directly after the events in "To Wed...". In order to understand what is going on, please read “To Wed…” first. It can be found here. This fic is an alternate end of Season 7, with spoilers thru the series' end twisted and shuffled to suit me. Rated mild R for vague sexual situations and violence.

It has been about thirty years since Buffy jumped off a tower to save the world. Her world and her friends have changed in her absence. Not knowing how or why she's back, Buffy still has to find a way to become one of the living again.

Now everyone (And we mean EVERYONE) is trapped in the wedding-turned-chaos. Can Buffy and Spike find a way to end the madness, or will they gladly be swept along?

This is a little two-part ficlet written for the wonderful Clawofcat for her birthday, by request. Just a little bit of Spuffy H/C and psychological/emotional bonding following Robin Wood's attempt to kill Spike. These two keep accidentally hurting each other; can they ever find a way to get past...well, the past...and find their way back to friendship, and maybe even beyond?
